Windows 10: MS Photos delete button does not work

I've spent the last hour or so going through old photos and deleting unwanted ones. I noticed after my first run through (20 mins or so) that despite pressing delete and enter to confirm delete, the photos are still there!


I "repair"ed the app in Apps and Features, then I "Restart"ed the app. I saw these solutions posted in a complaint about this issue from 2015! I reset my machine, also suggested, and I used space bar to confirm the delete.


The spacebar solution worked! So I cracked on using that method, only to go back into the folder of photos to find that this worked on only the first 5 or 10 photos. The rest were still there, rendering another half an hour of work useless!


Microsoft, this has clearly been an issue since 2015 at least. Fancy solving it for us?

Photos / Edit Stopped Working

This seems to be a hiccup with the application's software. What you can try is to do the following steps which will reset the internal state of the Photo app:

• Press Windows button + R.
• Type: %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
• Delete all the contents of that folder

Multiple Photos

We suggest that you follow the steps below to delete the photo through Photos app:

• If you’re looking at your list of photos in Photos app, select the photos by clicking on checkbox on the photos you want to delete. Click
  Delete icon at the bottom right corner to delete.
• If you open a photo, Tap or press Delete
  key from keyboard.

Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

Materials:

• Big cardboard box

• a razor

• white material 3 yards

• cone lights

• stapler

• medical tape

• pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box

• white paint any cheap finger paint would work

the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
