Windows 10: MS Windows support for AMD Processors

Hello everyone,


I availed the ""Free upgrade to Windows 10" offer in Nov 2015 & IS STILL RUNNING FINE till date on my PC (Outdated PC Specs as on 07/2018).


After searching & reading enough posts herein, I finally

purchased a new PC Build & kept aside my 12yr old PC. My NEW PC (as on 08/2018} binds an AMD Chip with 8 gigs of RAM (DDR 4). Besides Activation, Re-Activation, I've also read about transferring license from the old PC to a new one & much more.


My humble request to all who can help me out with -

1. Transfer license from old to a new PC (tried but failed).

2. Support with AMD Chips with Windows 10 (much needed).

3. Windows Activation with an existing MS Account (I couldn't activate & ended up with ACTIVATE WINDOWS on Desktop).

Not all AMD Processors Support 'XP Mode' in Windows 7

I know someone has said this already, but "Not all AMD Processors Support 'XP Mode' in Windows 7" suggests it is an AMD only problem. Not true.

Better to change the title "Not all processors support..." and then give examples.

Most Intel Atom processors DO NOT support VT
VIA? Maybe none of them...
AMD...
Intel...

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps to resolve the issue. These are the minimum requirements for Window 10.

• 1 GHz or faster processor
• 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
• Your processor (CPU) must support the following extensions: SSE2, NX, PAE
• You can Contact your Computer manufacture and check if there are any system updates to be installed.
