Windows 10: MS Zoo Tycoon Not Loading

I purchased the game through the Steam store with the expectation that it would work on anything from Windows 7 to 10, it downloaded fine, boots up fine but it will not load beyond that. I've googled and tried to run it as an administrator although that did not fix the issue and I am unsure of what to do now.


Honestly a little miffed that I spent money on this and it isn't working.

Hi there 9puppys. This game actually isnt developed by Microsoft, simply distributed by them. That being said, can you tell me the exact version of zoo tycoon? There's a modern remake as well as the classic zoo tycoons.

There are games created to work for Xbox that can be played on a Windows 10 computer. These games can be purchased on Windows Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace. They are called Xbox Play Anywhere games. This

MS Zoo Tycoon 2 games on Steam?

Has Microsoft considered bring the old Zoo Tycoon 2 games to Steam at all? They have loads of content availablefrom the expansion packs and they are still very playable as games. Just what with Frontier's new Planet Zoo game coming out in November these
older games would be a superb alternative.

They would need to be fixed to enable fullscreen 1920x1080 res to work with modern widescreen monitors. Although the option is in the list of resolutions in the game I still always get black strips down both sides of the screen.

If MS could consider releasing these old games on Steam I am sure they would be very popular.
