I will reboot my laptop and then when it's JUST about to turn off to reboot, it sticks there doing nothing. It never even makes it to turning off to post again. This happens randomly.

Anyone have any idea what this is? I've ran all the tests that I can think of to see if it's a hardware issues and everything passes. I've installed the latest bios and even reinstalled it to rule out a bad bios installation. I've reset the bios, reinstalled windows, gone through all the settings and nothing is consistent enough in the changes I make to isolate what is causing this.

It was running really hot at first for a good week thinking that it was normal and then finally under-volt'ed which was ~95c down to ~85c on a heavy load. GPU still runs a bit hot, 91c, but it's locked so I can't under-volt.

    MSI GS63 8RE
    Windows 10 x64 1903 completely updated...

    cortana won`t talk to me

    Hi Steven,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It's unfortunate that you are facing this issue. Let me assist you to resolve the issue.

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue and to provide you better assistance.

    • Check and verify if Cortana is activated?
    • Does Cortana search and gives any output/result on screen?
    • Is the Language and region settings set to valid value?
    • Check and verify if Cortana available in your region?
    Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

    • Open Cortana.
    • Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
    • Go to Settings and click on off.
    • Follow the same steps to turn it on.
    • Check if issue persists.
I would suggest you to refer to the article given below and check if that helps.
