Windows 10: msiexec.exe disturbing installation of any process or uninstall process.

So, I have been trying to update an application called "Virtual Desktop Streamer" It's basically a way to play VR games from your Oculus Quest A wireless headset But the computing power is coming from your pc, so it's streaming the VR game to your headset. I know you probably don't support the oculus quest but the reason why I am asking is that I heard that the reason the application doesn't update is that msiexec.exe from the details tab in TaskManager is interrupting the update somehow. So I wonder if it is safe to end the process without any windows updates happening?

I have heard many people say it's a "safe process" but never say if it's safe to end. I have seen 4 instances of this application running at once at all times. So is it safe to kill the process?

Dual iexplorer processes???

I would suggest you run process explorer on the machine so you can find out what applications are running.

process explorer shows you more than just task manager
