    MSVCP140D.dll and VCRUNTIME140D.dll is missing


    Hello, I'm trying to use a tool (that does not need to be installed) which works for a friend but not me. I get MSVCP140D.dll and VCRUNTIME140D.dll is missing. I've spent a few hours trying to fix this with no avail. They are not in my SysWOW64 or System32. Variants of MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll are scattered around but the particular "D" version is not found.

    Things I have done.

    • Reinstalled newest Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2017-2019 Redistributable. 64bit and 32 (Guide:
    • Modify > FIX
    • Backtracked to older versions of standalone Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 32/64
    • Unregister and register with regsvr32 / %systemroot%\SysWoW64\regsvr32.exe commands (error: https://imgur.com/a/jy3wR3w)
    • sfc /SCANNOW (No errors)
    • Check for Windows update (Fine)

    Any help would be appreciated

    DLL Missing


    I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

    Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.

    The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
    There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.
