MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure. I'm running this and it's been going on for 20 hours now. Once it hits 8 passes what happens then?

Nothing special, you jus can stop the test, but since you are having errors you can stop the test and run the test on each stick where each stick needs to switch slots to find out if the slots or sticks are problematic

So you're saying I need to take one stick out, run the test again. Do that with another stick and different slots? Is there just a way to tell if the sticks are the issue due to the errors? Like some specific error saying it's a stick or slot.

Oh my goodness. no! Last time I check it was a 7 passes with 300 errors. I came back to see my computer and the POWER went out; the PC reset and went back from the scan. Do I need to scan it again for a total of 8 passes or is the 7 enough? It's apparent that there's an issue

You can stop the test if you see an error.
I would suggest that you read the tutorial at least once (more) proper, the tutorial explains it all.

So from my understanding the results of the test will show if my slot or sticks are messed up. I couldn't tell what it was.
How would I tell if the motherboard is messed up besides doing the scan once more? Or do I have to run it again. If so, how does one see the results saying which RAM is faulty?

Okay, so it's either my sticks or my motherboard that's the issue. I guess I'll have to run the tests again. How does one get result chart after the test is complete?

I have given you the answer multiple times, although not directly but referring to the tutorial.
You note the sticks and slots and note when errors occur.

Gotcha, thanks. I guess I restart the scans in a little bit. I've also noticed in the past when I run graphically demanding software my screen would go make a solid red color and freeze. Just out of curiosity would this be something with the RAM?

That would be more something like the memory of the graphics card.

Alright. I guess I'll take one stick of RAM out then run the test again. I assumed it wouldn't take as long since it has half the RAM to scan correct?

Okay, I took out one of the sticks and put the other in the first slot. Running the scans. So far no errors coming up for the first stick and slot but it's only been 2 and a half hours of running the scan. I'll keep you posted

Bad news! after doing the first scan I was swapping out my RAM sticks and when it came to powering on the computer the the USBS wouldn't turn on, the screen wouldn't react or anything. The computer would turn on but I couldn't see a thing or the USBS didn't do a thing! I tried putting the RAM sticks back in but the same thing is happening again. I don't know what to do!

Do you hear a beep or something, are the fans spinning?
