Windows 10: multiple occurances of IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Discus and support multiple occurances of IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; Essenbe, that is what I'm trying to use but I can't boot to the usb drive. I just tried the memtest86 to see if that would boot, and it does. Discussion in 'Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging' started by CarlPosz, Sep 2, 2015.

Before windows loads, there are 2 keys that you can press.
1 is for entering the BIOS
    1 is for boot options.

Unfortunately, with desktops, I do not know which keys

I just looked at your Motherboard. The Asus P6T does not have a UEFI Bios. So, that question is solved. When you downloaded, did you download the pre compiled USB installer? You just tell it which drive letter your USB is and it installs it.

I have a newer Asus board than you do, but the last 3 versions of their boards has been Delete to enter BIOS and F8 to enter the one time boot menu.

To get into bios setup I hit delete. Then I can go in and set the drive to boot to. I did this with memtest86 and can boot to that. But when I run the install for memtrst86+ And boot it says "missing operating system"

The other program is better, but run the one that will boot. It's a lot better than nothing at all.

Problem with that is my system goes to sleep and I can't see the results. I tried last night and this morning my system wouldn't respond. Not have much luck. I'm going to try some me other things. I found the memtest86+ forum with a procedure to manually create a boot. I'll see if that works.

Is there anything in your BIOS about sleep? you may try adjusting that if there is. Usually sleep is a function of the OS, but you are not booted into the OS when running the test, so sleep should not even be an option unless it is in your BIOS. Another option would be to download the ISO file and use Windows image burner or any image burning software you have to a CD and boot from the CD and see if that makes a difference. The ISO cannot be copied to the CD, it has to be burned to it. I use memtest86+ quite often and have others use it very often and don't seem to have this problem. So, I am just unsure of what the problem could be, unless there is a sleep function in bios or in your monitor settings.

Good points on both bios sleep and ISO to cd. I know how to burn an ISO so that Is a very good idea. If that fails then i will pursue the sleep mode. Thanks those. I'll post back probably tomorrow since if it works I won't know the results until it finishes.
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

It runs for a few minutes and then just.... I don't know... Stops. Screen goes blank and nothing. No response. I guess I have a bigger problem than I expected.
I'll have to step back and figure what to do next.

Are you using 5.01? If so, when it starts it asks you to push keys for multi core processors or for fail safe. Don't push anything. It will start on its own in a few seconds. When your screen goes black, is your computer still running? 5.01 will tell you your CPU Temp. What is the temp it is reading?
