I thought you could upload the .DUMP files only. Here you go though.

When asked for, else upload everything.

Please run MemTest86+ (again) and make a photo of the result, with your amount of memory it could take up to a day or 2 days to complete 8 passes.

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Make a photo of the result and post it.

    Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.

I will set it up when I have to go later today, I hope it will be finished when I wake up tomorrow though.

Axe0, what are your thoughts on running with 8GB (1/2 the currently installed amount) and test that way for awhile.
If no problems swap installed and uninstalled and test some more.

Seems like that would be a good way to check out the RAM while still being able to use the system as usual.

Swapping is actually the best way to identify if/what is causing the problem with hardware, however it can unfortunately sometimes make the user more frustrated because he/she may not know what to do which is not what we want.
My recommendation would be to run the diagnostic test, if @Maik is willing to try swapping it would be fine with me.

When swapping remember to do it as follow
Stick 1 in slot 1 - crash? Move to the next
Stick 1 in slot 2 - crash? Move to the next
Stick 2 in slot 1 - crash? Move to the next
    Stick 2 in slot 2 - crash?

Note it if a crash occurs or not.
If somehow the results are improper then seat the sticks in the other 2 slots and do the same, this gives extended results which may help.

So I just came back and saw that my PC either crashed or restarted when I was away. I can't find a .DUMP file since it wasn't in Windows. I will run the test again overnight and I will respond as soon as I can with results.

Current situation with both modules in the recommended slots (DIMM 2&4). I shut off the computer since it wouldn't continue testing.

Are you able to run the test with a stick in any slot?

    Hello guys,

I am sorry that I haven't let anyone know about the current situation but it was a total rampage. I will list what happened and what I did down below:
    • I figured that doing the MemTest86+ test would take a while and thought about the plan of pulling out one stick and see what happens
    • I had dual-channel 16GB of memory and pulled out the 8GB stick in the 4th MB slot (slot 2 and 4 are recommended slots for dual-channel)
    • I played The Division for an hour and had no BSOD or any crash
    • I moved the 1st 8GB stick from the 2nd slot to the 4th slot (where the 2nd stick would've been normally). Again, after playing The Division for an hour, no BSOD or crash.
    • Then I pulled out the 1st stick and put in the 2nd stick into the 4th slot (that was the position of the 2nd stick before pulling it out). After 30 minutes it showed me an unrecoverable uPlay error and Windows said I had to restart to perform a driver repair.
    • I restarted my PC and it showed me the screen which normally shows the windows logo but this time with the text: "Repairing C: drive". That froze and my PC restarted again.
    • I got to the login screen but when I logged into Windows it immediately gave me a BSOD (all the BSOD .DUMP files are added to this post). When it automatically restarted it showed me the Windows logo but this time with the text "Please wait". Then it gave me a BSOD even before the login screen popped up.
    • It automatically restarted again and after logging in it gave me another BSOD. This happened twice afterwards. That time around, I didn't login but I shut the PC off to change the 2nd stick from the 4th slot into the 2nd slot. However, the PC didn't shut down completely so I had to hold the power button in order to shut it off.
    • When I switched the slots I could boot into Windows just fine. I started playing The Division again but after 7 minutes I got another game crash instantly followed by a BSOD.
    • I decided to change the 2nd stick from the 2nd slot to the 4th slot again. Again I could boot into Windows just fine. Then I got a game bug which made The Division freeze so I had to force quit it. Restarted the game and after 10 minutes of playing that instance, I got another BSOD.
    • Then I decided I actually had to swap the 2nd stick for the 1st stick again and put that back into the 2nd slot. I played The Division for another hour without a BSOD or game crash. Then I put the 1st stick into the 4th slot and it has been running for 3 hours now, as of writing this post.

    Some things I found out:
    • The actual RAM sticks were pretty warm when I pulled them out (both of them, so that probably has nothing to do with the BSOD)
    • I had a black screen restart once today and it did actually change some things, like my desktop layout to an earlier state.
    • All the BSOD where 1080p.

I do actually think that the 2nd stick is faulty and I should RMA it. I have life-time warranty on it. However, do you guys recommend running MemTest86+ for that stick only? I mean, for me it seems like it will only take time since I don't think it will show the errors immediately.
About the MemTest86+ test though, I found out what was causing the lockup. It is the F2 option on startup, something related to multiple cores active(??). Without pressing F2 on startup it runs fine.

What thoughts do you guys have?

Ah yes, multiple cores can cause problems indeed, that has occured a few times in all those threads I've been helping. The last time is a long time ago, probably the reason why I didn't think of it.

Memtest is not necessary anymore *Smile

Ah, I am not the only one with that problem *Smile

I will request a RMA then, if that is what you are trying to say.

You're not indeed, but it rarely occurs because we recommend to run the test without editing any setting. Without editing any setting SMP (or dual core) won't be enabled.

I see. Anyway, I will request an RMA right now and see what happens.

I will be getting the unit today and I hope it works right of the bat. I do have a question though, is it save to install Norton again? Do you guys have any other suggestions if not and what about GeForce Experience?
