Windows 10: My Audio device isn't working

Hi There,


I've just tried using my new XLR microphone to try and record some audio, but it isn't working. No audio is being registered and I'm not sure why.


As I did not have the right port in my PC I bought a XLR to USB adapter, which means now I can plug it into my PC.


When I go on to the computer properties, it shows that the mic is there and enabled, but no sound is being registered. The troubleshooting has found no problems either when I have gone to try that. I have also tested it out in many apps and it doesn't show up either.


How can I get my PC to register my audio? I feel like I have tried everything and I just can't find out what's wrong!

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

Cortana isn´t working

When I hit enter, it did something, but there´s still no Cortana, even after restart. So I tried it again, but now it says that it failed, because it´s already installed and it´s working in PC. So it should work, but Cortana still isn´t here.

 

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Let me know the results after performing the above.
