Windows 10: My Bluetooth randomly stopped working and I can't reinstall it

I know my device supports Bluetooth because I've been using my wireless earbuds with it for months. Then suddenly, while I was using them, they stopped playing sound. I tried restarting my computer and found that the option to turn Bluetooth on was completely missing no matter where I checked.


I searched online for ways to fix the issues and found sources saying to check for Bluetooth in Device Manager, uninstall the device and then have restart the computer to have it reinstalled. I couldn't find it at first, but eventually realized in was in Hidden Devices and then uninstalled it there. When I restarted, though, none of the devices reinstalled themselves.


I even tried updating my system, but it didn't help. I have no idea what to do now, please help me.

Can't get Bluetooth working...

The only thing i can think of to fix if it isnt recognised by linux is the following:

Firstly you have to find out what chipset your bluetooth dongle uses.
Secondly i think your going to have to basically compile your own kernel and include the module for the chipset that your bluetooth dongle uses.
Thirdly depending on if you add it to the kernel or as like built in you will have to add the name of the module to a config file which is used when you boot linux.

If the kernel doesnt have support for your bluetooth dongle then you can either try and find a different copy of the kernel which does or try and find the driver for it.

To recompile your own kernel however requires a whole guide itself , plus different linux distro's will have different kernels with different options and slightly different config files.

Only thing i can suggest is going to www.gentoo.org and reading through their handbook, its basically step by step setting up linux manually, in the handbook there is a page or two on recompiling your kernel for your particular configuration.

 

Wifi stops working randomly

Hi,

My wifi stops working randomly as of lately even though I am connected and the internet is working. Other machines, phones and tablet that I have keep working. This is extremely annoying. Only solution is to restart the laptop. Need to do this 2-3 times
a day. Other solutions suggested by community do not work!

Any help please?

Logitech G930 randomly stops working?

I've had G930 for over a year and it's been working quite well, but recently, it just randomly stops working! (it stops for 3-4 seconds and then start works again)
I tried removing the driver and installing it again and still the same problem
anyone who can help? *Frown
