Windows 10: my computer continuously freezes and then the screen goes black

i recently built a new computer and everything was working fine until i installed a windows update. the update was one were i had to restart my computer to install. the computer never turned off and was on all night until i decided to cold restart it. now i have a problem where when i turn my computer on after 2-5 minutes it will freeze where i cant click anything and after a short while the monitors will go black and the fans in my pc will turn really fast for a few seconds as i can hear it. ive opened task manager before it freezes and it shows that i have 100% ssd usage before the freeze. i

New Computer with Black Screens and Freezes

Earlier today, I purchased a new HP computer with Windows 10 already installed on it. I tried to rip a CD onto the computer, but Windows Media Player freezes and goes to a black screen where I’m not capable of doing anything. I shut down the computer using
the power switch on my extension cord then turned it back on. Now whenever I try to use anything at all, it will freeze and go to a black screen. The freezing and black screens have been a huge source of frustration for me this evening, especially since it’s
a brand new computer with no viruses or malware. Is there something I can do to fix this on my own or should I take it to a computer shop for repairs?
