    My computer does not recognize my WD External DriveWD Elements 1023


    My drive works normally and fine until yesterday I plugged it in at school to copy a system image. It doesn't show up in Explorer and neither in diskmgr. Then I tried to find it in device manager, but there was no my disk or anything about "USB Mass Storage Device". Its light was on so I thought that it would work on my own computer back home. But it was still no use. Windows didn't even give me a notification like "usb device plugged in". I also tried changing cables and ports. I even tried to read it in Kali Linux but still no use. What shall I do?

    Laptop won't recognize my WD Elements

    I have an HP laptop Elitebook running Windows 7. It will not recognize the WD Elements plugged into my USB port. I have tried everything recommended on the website and nothing is working. Any suggestions? Thank you!
