Windows 10: my computer shuts down then reboots about every 5 to 7 minutes - all by itself. any...

My desktop computer shuts down and reboots all by itself about every 5-7 minutes. My computer guy said that all the hardware is fine and that I need to reinstall windows 10. any suggestions.

I have a problem with a Dell precision tower 3620 which works fine in Windows 7.

When i use Windows 10 then after every 5 minutes (exactly 5 minutes to the second) the computer reboots.

There is nothing to find in the eventviewer apart from the logs of the unexpected reboot.

I have updated all drivers by downloading them from the Dell website.

I don't know what to do next, its puzzling me for a day now.

You mention you updated all the drivers, but do you also install all windows updates? I imagine that could be difficult if it reboots every 5 minutes.

When it reboots does it give an error message? Blue screen? Does it look like it is shutting down normally, or is it shutting down immediately?
