My Dell Latitude plays audio at a higher level than what I have it set

I bought a Dell Latitude E6540 a couple months back, and I noticed not that long after I bought it that it was having this weird issue where, whenever I start playing a video or song/pause and then unpause a video or song, the volume would be at a much higher level than what I set the audio to. And strangely, if I press either the volume up or volume down key, it goes down to what it should be. Like if I press the volume up key to have the volume set to 20, but then pause the song and then unpause it, it will sound like it's at around 30 or 40, but if I hit the volume UP key it will go DOWN to 22. I recorded an example of it since I feel it's hard to describe:

I've heard other people complaining about this issue with their Dell laptops, Realtek audio drivers, and Windows 10, like me. But none of the solutions I've heard have worked. It says everything is up to date on my computer, but is there a newer Realtek audio driver than what I have? I guess there's an audio driver here, though I don't know if it's newer than what I have.
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft...x?q=6.0.1.8475
And I'm having trouble trying to install it. I downloaded the CAB file and moved it to a new folder in Program Files (x86). I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put the whole file there or just extract its contents there, so I moved both to be sure. But when I opened Device Manager, chose to update the Realtek High Definition Audio driver, and browsed for it in the new folder, I couldn't find anything there except a couple folders. I've no idea if this is even the solution I need, but nothing else has worked.

    :)

Audio Broken on Dell Latitude E7240

Hello, I have a Dell Latitude E7240 upgraded to windows 10 and I am having problems with my audio. The audio does not play whether or not there are headphones connected to it. However, when I connect it to my HDMI for my TV, it does play sound through the TV. Does anyone know why the sound only works when connected to an HDMI port?

    What I have tried:
    -Restarting my computer
-Pressing "F12" on startup and running diagnostics
-Using Device manager to uninstall and reinstall drivers etc.
    -Using the sound troubleshooter
    -Downloading audio drives from support.dell.com
    -Using headphones
-turning the audio on and off through run->services
-making sure the speakers are not muted or disabled
-trying different settings in the manage audio devices tab

  3. Is audio working in a Dell Latitude D630?

    Hi,

I recently read in a post called "Made by you - Windows 10 Audio Troubleshooting" that the audio problems in almost all PCs is dissapearing. I want to know if anyone of this forum has got a Dell Latitude D630 for test it and tell
me if is true that the audio now works perfectly in this PC because I have very bad experiences in the past with the audio.

    Thanks a lot in advance
