    My desk top will NOT go into sleep mode


    Hi, my desk top computer will absolutely NOT go into sleep mode.



    I have tried everything including going back to the original settings. I tried resetting all the timers and also changed the multimedia setting from “Prevent idling to sleep” to “Allow computer to sleep”. I do not use any multimedia stuff but I tried it any. I read somewhere on the net that it might work.

    I also tried changing the settings for the “The plan” which is now set at Balanced. Nothing seems to work.


    I am using windows 10, home addition and my computer guy also loaded Windows Enterprise so I could continue to use Photo gallery and keep all my old E-mails.


    I’m old and am not computer savvy. I know just enough to be dangerous as a matter of fact, very dangerous!

    • Have you made any updates to your computer before experiencing this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
