Windows 10: My Desktop file explorer not showing software installed

i started having this issues in my file explorer i even factory deleted my whole laptop but still the same thing my desktop keeps showing i have no files on it while on the home page it showing the files which is installed pls ive been having this issue for weeks now

Cannot find Desktop Icon in File Explorer

Now that is interesting. If I do what you suggest, File Explorer Address bar changes to C:\Users\username\documents and the missing ICONS are there. But there is still not a "Desktop" folder.

Is this a step in the right direction?

 

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?
