Windows 10: My files disappeared from my Desktop, is there any logs to traceback what happened to them?

I opened my computer and all the files were disappeared from my desktop. I searched everywhere with Microsoft Explorer. I also used recuva program to check if the files were deleted, but the program showed only old files that I don't need. I checked my USB stick too in case it somehow files were moved to the stick, but the stick was empty. So, is there any way to open logs history to investigate the files disappearance? Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Files disappearing from desktop

Saving files to my desktop causes them to disappear.

My desktop is clear save for the Recycle Bin - and NO the file is not hiding behind it.

File Viewer shows a file ON the desktop but it's nowhere to be found - viewport is completely blank.

Any suggestions?
