I had a friend who i thought knew what he was doing try and upgrade my computer! So when he did, he installed a non-genuine copy of windows 10 due to too many errors and such i was having on my comp. I did some looking and realized that he not only installed a Windows 10 Pro on my comp when all i needed was a gen copy of home like what came with my computer. So now not only do i have a copy of Windows 11 that i don't know is genuine or not but i don't have my License or i don't think i do for windows 10 home... What do i do? I don't have the money to buy a license! Any help would be apprecia

    :)

Install Windows 10 Pro, on a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate(non-genuine)?

What would be the steps to install a Windows 10 Pro copy buyed from Microsoft Store, on a computer that has Windows 7 Ultimate(non-genuine), without being left any traces from the non-genuine Windows 7?

What would be the easiest way for a newbie on this matter?

    Thanks,

    Diego

    Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

    Windows 7 Genuine...

Oh yes it is. The odds of this happening are slim to say the least but imagine, if you will, someone using a keygen to generate a key for their copy and it happens to be your legit key. M$ will accept the last validated machine to have that key and label any previous machine as pirated. Happened to a friend who installed his legit copy in his wife's computer without knowing he had to buy another legit for her own machine
