Windows 10: My headset is only able to be used in "hands-free AG" mode

Hi, I've been having a lot of issues with my headphones today as I decided to un-pair and re-pair my bluetooth headset earlier. Ever since then, the "stereo" version of my headset has disappeared and I'm only able to use my headset in the "hands-free AG" mode. I checked for new bluetooth drivers, but I'm using the most recent version. I've disabled the hands-free AG bluetooth service in the device manager and restarted. Nothing has worked. Is there any way to fix this? I've had this issue in the past and I was able to fix it, but I can't remember how I did it. I'm using a PLT Voyager Focus UC

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue with the sound coming out of your headset.

Most likely with the headset plugged in, you'll need to make sure the headset is set to a playback device to get your sound from.

To do this, follow the steps below:

Down in the right hand corner of your screen you should see your time and a few other icons. One of those icons should be a speaker.

1. right click on that speaker

2. select playback devices

3. the list of playback devices will be listed. Select to your headset to highlight it. (NOTE: Make sure your headset is plugged in).

4. Right click on your headset, and select default.

5. Then select configure to test the sound in your headset.

6. You should hear the sounds coming through your headset after this change - while you are performing the test.

7. select apply and ok to close the window.

You should now be able to hear sounds coming from your headset instead of your speakers.
