Windows 10: My HP restarted itself and now my stuff is missing.

as soon as I turned my laptop on, it popped up a message telling me to log out of my Microsoft account or my in progress works would be deleted. So, I logged out. Then my laptop reset itself and when it turned back on I was logged out of everything, my background was reset to the basic blue windows background, all of my files in my file explorer are missing. I really need these back, I have some VERY IMPORTANT files on this laptop. The only thing that is still the same is the icons on my desktop are still there. I attempted a system restore, but it got stuck on the "restoring registry" for abo

• When you say, "MY STUFF option or magnifying glass icon" exactly which option are you referring to?
• Have you made any changes to the system prior to this issue?

I suggest you to restore the system to the previous point and check if this helps.
To do so kindly follow the below given steps:

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

Hp Envy Driver missing

• Are you referring the missing driver as the High Definition Audio device
  with a yellow mark in the screenshot?

This issue could have happened due to corrupted driver files. Let's try reinstalling the driver and check if the driver can be recovered. Follow the below steps to re-install the driver.

• As you are already on the device manager, right-click on High Definition Audio device, and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter and check if the issue is resolved. Follow the below steps to run the Hardware troubleshooter;

• Type troubleshooting in the search tool.
• Click on Troubleshooting tab.
  
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

• Click Next to run the Hardware
