Windows 10: my hp turns off at 50% battery ,what may be the problem?

Discus and support my hp turns off at 50% battery ,what may be the problem? in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; my hp pc has started since 2days ago to automatically switch off at 50% battery and i do not know what's wrong. i have edited the battery plan settings...     my hp turns off at 50% battery ,what may be the problem?


    my hp pc has started since 2days ago to automatically switch off at 50% battery and i do not know what's wrong. i have edited the battery plan settings but all to no avail.

    This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

    Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

    • Disconnecting the battery and adapter
    • Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
    • This should clear the flea power

    If this doesnt work, read this article its about
    a dell inspiron     but the same applies for you hp. It has some detailed step by step instructions

    HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

    I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
    • Restart the computer and check.

    If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.
