Windows 10: My laptop does not hilbernate

    My laptop does not hilbernate


    Everytime i press hilbernate on my laptop, it seems to shutdown instead of hilbernating. I am running a Windows 10 Home on a Dell Inspiron 7559. This has become quite an issue since i lose most of my stuff im working on and is quite annoying not being able to hilbernate.

    Thank you for the response. I followed the instructions in the forum article you linked and did a repair upgrade. It has not resolved the problem. The laptop will still fail to awake from sleep some of the time and it will cause the keyboard to stop functioning
    if it does resume from sleep.

    I tried the clean boot, and the problem still persisted once I put the computer to sleep and woke it up. I then booted into safe mode. There wasn't an option to put the computer to sleep, but I was able to get it to sleep by closing the laptop lid. After
    waking it back up, the keyboard did not work and I was unable to sign back in.

    it didnt work. ive tried this before. My laptop has hilbernate turned on but when i hilbernate, it shuts down instead.
