Windows 10: My laptop goes off suddenly since Windows 10 Update Version 1809

Since the feature update to Windows 10 (version 1809) got automatically installed on my laptop, I have been experiencing sudden shut downs when I am in battery mode. My battery could be almost full, and while I'm using my laptop, it would suddenly go off as if I forced a total shut down by pressing and holding the power button. I then have to plug in my adapter and start my laptop all over again. My battery has never shown any inconsistency, and everything seemed perfectly fine until the Windows 10 October Update (version 1809) that got installed on February 26, 2019.


Can anyone please offer a solution on how this can be fixed? Or is that an issue that Microsoft is aware of and working on?

Windows Update suddenly hangs?

Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?
