My Laptop Has Internet - But I Can't Install Anything?

I'm running an Asus Tuf 15 with Windows 10. It came back today from having the motherboard replaced. I have internet all of my windows updates happened lightning fast but I can't install anything. I tried to download Avast, Itunes, google chome and Epic Games, and even though the installers make it to the desktop they keep timing out saying that there is either no internet or the servers aren't responding. I'm frankly stumped. I've tried everything from turning off the firewalls to running through all the ipconfig/ dns flush and winsock resets/ip resets etc. All the drivers are up to date. I tried changing the DNS address, resetting the router - you name it. How do I have internet and yet I can't install ANYTHING? I feel like there's a really simple explanation here that I'm missing. As an FYI when I ran the internet trouble shooter what came back was " Your computer appears to be configured correctly, but the device or resource www.microsoft.com is not responding." Someone help?

    :)
