Windows 10: MY LAPTOP IS NOW USELESS AFTER UPDATE

My laptop updated and today when I turned it on there is no Edge logo down the side and the task bar has gone. I cannot do anything with it. But I can log on to and watch Sky Go so I know there is nothing wrong with the laptop itself. The update has killed my laptop.

Useless Laptop..!

Hi....too bad because I like windows 8.1...I have three of them....but if you upgraded and waited too long then yes you cannot go back...

What is the issue?...Windows 10 is a good system when all is well...

please provide the issues and we may be able to post some suggestions.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
