    Some of the keys don't work unless I press in a certain area on my laptop that bends the frame, creating a connection. This is definitely a hardware issue plus I already did resetting and resetting drivers and I want to know if there is a quick fix/troubleshoot I could do like opening up the laptop and quickly changing something or if I need to replace the keyboard completely or buy something to fix it.I use an ACER Aspire A315-24PTThank you!

    Keyboard unresponsive after update to Windows 10 version 1073

    Hi,

    One possible reason why your keyboard is slow and unresponsive after an update may be due to driver incompatibility. As an initial recommendation, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to resolve this issue. Kindly follow the steps
    below:

    • Type Troubleshooting in Cortana's search field and press
      Enter.
    • Click on View All in the top left corner.
    • Click on Hardware and Devices from the list and follow the prompts.

    Method 1: I suggest you to connect an external keyboard and check if the issue persists.

    Method 2: Run the SFC.

    System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Right click on the Start button, click on
      Command Prompt (Admin).

    • Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit
      Enter.
    • After the scan, restart the computer.
    • Now check for the issue.

    Method 3: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search
      box from the desktop and select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View All option in the left pane of the troubleshooting window.
    • Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
    • Follow the On Screen instructions.
