My Lenovo Thinkpad e595 is in a Recovery Loop -- Password Not Recognized

    Device: Lenovo ThinkPad e595 20NF0012US Ryzen 5 3500U 250Gb SSD

    Windows 10 Professional 20H2

I have disconnected all peripheral devices.

After installing an update to Feature update 20H2 on about April 6, 2021, my laptop screen began shaking fiercely. The Logitech USB headset that I use for my job stopped working, and a few other buggy problems arose. Somehow, and I honestly don't know or remember which remedy I tried, stopped the tremoring screen. The other problems persisted, however, My keyboard type an entire paragraph backward.

Around the same time, I also installed a Lenovo system update. Not knowing which update was the culprit, I didn't know which one I should remove or rollback. Out of frustration -- and because I desperately need the device for my job -- I attempted a system restore. After 18 hours, the screen was still in a spin, so I shut off the computer and left it alone while I went to bed.

In the morning when I started it, it went into a recovery loop. "An error loading Windows"...spin, spin..."Diagnosing"...spin, spin..."Restart or try Advanced Options" So I tried to boot into Safe Mode. Both administrator passwords were deemed incorrect, and I am 199% certain they are correct. Eventually, I tried every option to no avail. Windows will not recognize my perfectly correct passwords. And of course, my one-year warranty expired at the very beginning of April. So I am stuck with a piece of useless junk and am now without a job.

My other laptop, running an Insider's Preview edition of Windows 10 works fine for a long time, and then suddenly begins a series of GSOD which would coincide with my work shifts. I don't know if there is a software conflict or a problem using the computer to place and receive phone calls through a web-based platform. I don't know. But it t happened often enough that my downtime on my job exceeded my working hours, and I have been dismissed.

I have tried everything to work out the bugs, but again to no avail. So I have a second piece of junk and no job. I have read articles and forums and watched a million videos, but no one seems to address this exact issue. I can't even reset my computer without a password. I have worked on my own computers and helped family and friends with theirs for over 30 years, beginning with DOS 1.6 or something. I sometimes ran into problems teaching myself because I was determined to figure things out and learn. Which I did. But now, that seems impossible. Instead of working to make Windows more seamless and user-friendly, Microsoft has developed a convoluted piece of trash. But I digress.

Will someone PLEASE answer my question? How do I stop this loop? How do I get Windows to recognize my password? If I use installation media, will I be able to reset the system without a password that Windows likes? The system does not boot, so there is no internet connection. Changing my password online seems useless because the laptop won't receive the information. Please help! I have not slept in over a week because of this mess and the loss of my job.

    :)

    Lenovo Announces ThinkPad T431s Ultrabook

Lenovo today announced its new ThinkPad, with design enhancements inspired by the results of an extensive global research project. The ThinkPad T431s is the thinnest T series ever featuring a sleek, innovative trackpad, enhanced keyboard and refined aesthetics.

"We obsess over the pursuit of perfection – as evidenced by more than 20 years of Lenovo ThinkPad design and engineering accolades. However, perfection cannot be achieved without a key ingredient: customer insight," said Dilip Bhatia, vice president and general manager, ThinkPad Business Unit. "The ThinkPad T431s is the first device featuring Lenovo's new design, which represents a comprehensive examination of user experience and input."

    From research to design
Extending beyond traditional customer interaction, Lenovo conducted extensive research with NetGen, non-ThinkPad users and ThinkPad loyalists around the world, to gather detailed feedback on ThinkPad design. Over nine months and in multiple countries, researchers spent thousands of hours shadowing users in their homes, workplaces and remote locations, observing user behavior and asking questions. The results of this extensive research have directly contributed to the new refined design, which include technological enhancements and innovative upgrades including a new trackpad with click functionality and an incredibly thin display bezel.

    ThinkPad gets new look
The results of Lenovo's research found that respondents prioritize simplicity and modern elements when it comes to their technology. Lenovo designed the new T431s with these priorities in mind to directly enrich the user experience:
    • Streamlined Interior: Lenovo updated the award-winning ThinkPad precision keyboard by improving key placement while maintaining shortcuts for a sleeker-looking keyboard, designing the display with a super thin bezel, and debuting a new Graphite Black color.
    • Enhanced trackpad experience: The new ThinkPad trackpad is an evolution of the TrackPoint and TouchPad featuring a new larger, smooth, responsive, multi-touch glass surface that optimizes Windows 8 gestures, click functionality, and integrates TrackPoint behavior to deliver a customized, improved experience for all users.
    • Thinness, Durability, Reliability: The ThinkPad T431s, the thinnest and lightest T series ever made and the first device incorporating the new design elements, weighs just 3.6 pounds (1.63kg) and measures only 0.82 inches (20.6mm) thin. The carbon fiber top cover and magnesium exterior continue ThinkPad's heritage of business-class rugged design and durability.
The T431s is powered by Intel 3rd generation Core processors with Turbo Boost, features improved Intel HD Graphics, up to 12 GB of memory and additional HDD and SSD storage options. The T431s has a 14-inch HD+ (1600 x 900) anti-glare display, two USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfer. The T431s is also available with Intel vPro for easy device management, supports ThinkPad docking, and provides enhanced security that commercial customers require.

    Pricing and Availability
The ThinkPad T431s will be available in April starting at approximately $949.
