Windows 10: My Logitech F710 gaming controller not working

My Logitech f710 controller was working fine when suddenly one day the light started blinking ad few days later it just stopped working and no it's not coz of battery coz I installed new batteries. My controller doesn't even show up in device manager and not even under other devices. It works sometimes when I disconnect the USB few times and do some changes but after sometime it stops working. The green light isn't turning on like it used to do. If I click the home button for sometime the light turns on but it's not connecting and not showing up in device manager. Help pls

XCOM2 (Chosen) and Logitech F710 wireless controller game issues.

Hi all -

I have installed XCOM2 and am having problems with the software working with a Logitech F710 gaming controller.
Seems that the game sometimes works very inconsistently. Any ideas as to why this might be happening with "War of the Chosen"?"

Is there a patch or special gamepad mapping?

Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 Not Working with Windows 10

After more digging, I learned in Logitech's support forums that others have this issue too, also that no one has a solution there either.

After even more digging, I found a fix, which I detailed there and below for completeness.

Microsoft Community Solution

TheTexanGamer's Microsoft Community solution to a similar issue with an Xbox 360 wireless controller and Windows 10 seems to have resolved the problem for me: Xbox 360 wireless controller not working/connecting on windows 10

I had to follow the steps outlined in TheTexanGamer's answer with the F710 in XInput mode:

Possible Lingering Issues

• The LT and RT buttons affecting Z Axis in the Game Controllers control panel? That does not seem right to me, but maybe I am mistaken.
  
• DirectInput? The above solution did not work for me until I switched the gamepad to XInput mode.
  

 

Problems with logitech f710 gamepad

I had the same problem. F710 was working fine then stopped working after Windows 10 updated. The same problem happened when I first used them up after buying them.

The only thing that worked for me was this link posted by Time Lady on this thread :

Getting my Logitech F710 wireless gamepad to work with Windows 10 (and 10.1)

I only did steps 7 through 20.

You wont need to get new controllers hopefully!
