Windows 10: My microsoft sculpt keyboard and mouse dongle doesn't work

The dongle doesn't work for my sculpt keyboard and mouse. But through the wisdom 3rd grade developers for Microsoft accessories, I am unable to replace it. Therefore my 100 dollar keyboard and mouse have turned into a brick because of a 1 dollar piece that you designed to not be able to be replaced. What a joke. And I thought I hated Apple...... Annnnnnd you don't even have a community channel for Microsoft Accessories. YES, MICROSOFT YOU ARE A JOKE! * Changed to a discussion & moved from Community Center

Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard and Mouse dongle randomly disconnect

I try to add this in some of the cases that I read when searching for this problem, but the threads are locked, so I decide to write this in an effort to assist future users with the same problem.

Gabriela Garcia, now you have it!!! Your dongle will not be randomly disconnected and reconnected anymore.

Also, I’d like to suggest the Microsoft team to update this driver default parameter of adding it as a clear option on

Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center.

 

Broken dongle on Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard

I bought a Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard 6 months ago. Today I accidentally forgot to remove the rather large dongle from my laptop before putting it into my bag and the dongle got crushed. Is there any way to continue to use the keyboard/mouse without the
dongle? Can I get a replacement dongle?

 

Lost Microsoft Sculpt Ergo Keyboard, but still have mouse and USB dongle. How to pair new keyboard to old dongle

Delta airlines lost my suitcase that had my Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard in it. I still have the Mouse and dongle so I ordered another sculpt ergo keyboard.

However, to my surprise, I realized the keyboard has its own dongle and doesn't communicate with the old dongle that works with my mouse. I don't have an extra USB port so I can't use both at the same time, so either keyboard or mouse....

Is there any way to pair a keyboard to the same dongle the mouse uses like it used to be or do I have to return the keyboard and buy a non-Microsoft keyboard and mouse from a company like Logitech since they are re-programable.
