Windows 10: my mouse right click is "glitching"

About one month ago, my right mouse click started to glitch in some specific tabs, like file explorer and the desktop, but it wouldn't always fail. Since my english is not that good, i recorded a video showing the problem. In file explorer, when I just right click, it just acts normal, but when I select a file and right click, it glitches out and closes the explorer. When in the desktop i right click, it acts normally, but when I select a file before the right click, the screen blinks and i cant do anything. when in the windows tab I right click something to open as an administrator, the scree

mouse is not working right


unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.

Mouse Glitch

Thank you for the update. We just want to confirm, were you able to adjust the pointer speed? If you still haven't, you can try the steps below and see if it makes any difference:

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Devices.
• Click on Mouse and touchpad.
• In the right pane, click on Additional mouse options.
• Under Pointer Options tab, click Enhance pointer precision.
• Adjust the speed.
• Click on Apply and OK.
