Windows 10: My PC shuts off randomly

Since last month, my PC would only display a black screen after being inactive for some time, and not wake up. I did not pay much heed to this problem as I seldom leave it on sleep mode or inactive. On the few occasions that I did so I had to directly unplug it and then restart.


However, about 15 days ago , it startes acting very peculiarly. It barely stayed on for 5 minutes after turning it on. Did not really shut down properly, the screen just goes black and I cannot do anything with it. The CPU continued to show the power button light on. I tried restarting in safe mode but the problem persists. Sometimes, it died at 5 minutes, sometime in 2, and sometimes even in the process of booting up. The boot up screen showed different messages and screens at different times. Sometimes it flashed a single dash on the top left corner screen before proceeding with boot up, sometimes "preparing automatic recovery" and "diagnosing your PC", sometimes the troubleshoot screen.


This continued for about 4 days. Then the last ten days it was working fine again. But yesterday, the same problem started again.


Also, for the few moments it stay on, in Task Manager, disc shows 100% even if no applications are running actively.

HD7 randomly shutting off

in the last few days ive seen that my hd7 would randomly shut off. not when its in my hand but when its in my pocket.. id send a txt, put it in my pocket and then later check it and it would be off.. and when that happens is the time changes and
the most recent thing was most of my contacts on my hub were gone.. im not sure whats going on. ive had this phone since christmas and its just now doing this.. maybe my pocket pushes the power button? if so microsoft should make something close to ios where
you have to confirm you want to shut your phone off... id appreciate any help if you have any. thanks!

 

Phone keeps randomly shutting off

I dropped my Windows 8 phone, and now it keeps randomly shutting off. It will turn back on, and work for a little bit, then shut off again. Should I try to reset my whole phone?

 

PC shut off randomly, now it won't stay on

So, Friday, I was in the middle of some paperwork, when my PC shut off seemingly randomly. No crash, no sounds or beeps, just powered off. I turned it back on, and it turned off again after a few seconds, then turned itself on a couple seconds later, then off, then on, and so on. I managed to get into Windows once or twice, but it rarely makes it as far as that before shutting off again. I took off the case panel and from what I can see there's nothing wrong, no smells or odd noises, nothing unusual. What could be the issue?
