Windows 10: My phone is not showing on This PC when attached via cable

I have been transferring photos and managing files on my Samsung Galaxy phone from my Windows 10 desktop for years, but just since the last Windows 10 update, my phone is charging via cable but is not appearing on This PC in Windows Explorer. This always worked automatically with every phone I've used, and has been working with this phone until now.Allow this PC to access your mobile devices is turned ON.Manage Mobile Devices shows my phone as enabled. I think that's related to some thing about viewing my photos on the PC via Phone Link, which I set up to see if that would be useful, but I can

Windows phone will not connect with PC

So when you got the device what came in the box?

According to the Microsoft store they show the following:

My question is about the charger. Does the charger consist of two parts (a USB cable and an AC plug that you plug the USB cable into for wall charging OR was the charger one piece consisting of the plug in part and a long wire permanently attached that you
attach to the device for charging).

When you attach your device to your PC, does the PC make a sound indicating that a device was attached?

If it is NOT recognized by your PC, I would look first in Device Manager when it is connected to see if it is listed. Unplug the device, shut it down then restart and plug it in again. Your PC should make a sound indicating that a device was attached. Look
again in Device Manager to see if it is listed.

Have you installed the Windows Phone Desktop app?

• YES , missing on OUTLOOK:COM and GMAIL
• I see they ONLY after self forwarding
• Are the attachments show up online at Outlook.com?
• YES, i see they online
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

I have on the pc full access to OUTLOOK.COM via visual basic...., but no acccess on the phone...then i can do nothing

With app SECURE GMAIL...i see gmail attachments....

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

For Windows 10 Mobile:

• Launch to File Explorer app.
• Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

For Windows Phone 8.1:

• Download and install
  Files app.
• Launch Files app.
• Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.
