Windows 10: my printer

my printer will not shut off by pressing the button automatically it is stuck on photo paper will not let me change that and in the status inquiry it keeps showing that it is printing and it is not doing anything! tried resetting it and still it comes back on with the light on in photo paper; there is no jam and i can't take ink cartridges out because the printer will not move or do anything; this has got me so disgusted!!! does someone know how to fix this problem?

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press Windows/Start key.
• Type Devices and Printers and then tap or click Devices and Printers.
• Press and hold or right-click the printer you want to use, and then tap or click
  Set as default printer.
