    Email clients not remembering passwords

    Hi all

    A friends computer will not remember his gmail password. He used to use outlook, and seeing that I use thunderbird and it would be easier to troubleshoot I installed that for him. Now that was working for a few weeks, and now the same problem is occuring.

    We are 100% sure the password is correct, as we can access the email account through webmail, but the local clients will not remember the correct password. Of course the 'Remember password' button is checked, but still no good.

    It returns with incorrect password.

    Any suggestions?

    This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

    The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

    E72 keeps asking for email password

    I have the same problem. The email was working fine for one day then it kept erasing my password in the email setting and now every so often, it asks for my password. Since I am using a corporate email account (Mail for Exchange), I cannot make use of the
    email.nokia.com website to carry out your advice. Any other suggestions out there otherwise I take this phone back?
