Windows 10: My Screen Resolution and brightness changed automatically.

My Screen brightness and contrast changed when I was not looking at it.I restarted it once and my screen resolution changed and everything became bigger. Then I checked the screen resolution from right click menu so there at the field where the monitor name is given. It was shown "Display On: VGA" as my monitor name while earlier it was G"eneric Non PnP Monitor". My screen colors adjustment software by Intel was broken and all info was empty and it crashed when visiting the color enhancement page. I roll backed the driver but it caused it to use a 2006 driver. I reinstalled the latest driver.

Windows 10 has the ability to automatically adjust the screen brightness depending on the ambient light levels. This feature can be more annoying than helpful, either leaving your screen too dark or frequently
adjusting the brightness levels.

If you are using Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro-1370, I suggest you
Disable auto brightness feature
and check if it helps.

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

Screen Resolution too big

Firstly, try to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it fixes the issue.

I suggest you to change the screen resolution settings and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and type Change Screen Resolution and click on the option listed.
• Under resolution try changing the resolution settings.

Also try to install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website and check.
