Windows 10: my scroll wheel isnt working properly, nothing wrong with the mouse its brand new and...

everything works fine except that scrolling doesnt register outside of the windows explorer and start menu, what is going on

Windows 10 Mouse scroll wheel not functioning properly

Hi all,

After upgrading to windows 10 I had problem on scroll function of mouse scroll wheel. When I turn the scroll wheel of mouse pages were not scrolling down or up properly. The page is not scrolling down or up smoothly and continuously. (No matter which program
I'm using. IE, Chrome, Firefox, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Corel etc) For example, I'm turning scroll wheel of mouse up and page is scrolling up and I keep turn the wheel up but page is scrolling down a few ticks and I continue to scrolling up and then again
page scrolling down and then jumping up, jumping down... I mean scrolling page is not controlling very well by scroll wheel of the mouse. I hope I could describe well what is my problem.

PS-What I've done until now: I changed all mouse settings one by one, scrolling lines value, speed, etc. Updated driver. Removed the mouse hardware and installed again. Removed mouse driver and installed again. I changed transceiver from USB port and put on
others one by one. I bought a brand new mouse (HP)... Nothing changed! Please help!

Windows 10 mouse scroll wheel issue

Hi,

There can be numerous causes of the issue that you're having with your mouse scroll wheel speed such as outdated drivers, dirt, damaged cables, and more. To correct such issue, we suggest that you adjust the scroll speed of your mouse wheel using the steps
below:

• Click Start > Settings.
• Go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad.
• Under Choose how many lines to scroll each time, move the slider to the right to make the speed of your mouse wheel faster.

My mouse scroll wheel barely scrolls/scrolls the wrong way

I've had an issue for months now. I can't use my scroll wheel because it will barely scroll, lag, or go the wrong way if it scrolls at all. Any idea why?

Things I tried:

1. This issue first appeared on Windows 7. I upgraded to Windows 10 since then and the issue has persisted.
   
2. I tried reinstalling mouse drivers.
   
3. I tried different USB ports on back and front of my PC.
   
4. I went through like 3 different mice and the issue persisted.
   
5. Cleaning my mouse (But this wouldn't matter anyway since I went through 3 brand new mice).
   
6. Scanned and found no viruses or malware.
   
7. I tried changing mouse settings/scroll speed, which made the mouse scroll more on the occasion that it works but it's still laggy and unuseable.
   

System information:

x64 Windows 10 Home version 10.0.19044 Build 19044

Current mouse:

HID-compliant mouse USB Input Device driver date 21/6/2006 version 10.0.19041.1

Extra information:

I sometimes connect a Huion 1060 PRO+ Pen Tablet to my computer. Under "Mice and other pointing devices" my computer shows the above mouse as well as 2 other mice labelled "Huion HUI" instead of "USB Input Device". (this is while the pen tablet is disconnected). Could this be causing issues?
