Windows 10: My second hard drive is not being detected by my pc. How can I fix this?

I had 2 hard drives before my computer suddenly bluescreened. After I fixed the problem, the second hard drive just disappeared from my pc. My pc can't detect any signs of my second hard drive. I also lost the ability to download anything which made things really difficult. I used to have more than a TB on my pc, but after the blue screen, I'm now down to 400 GB. I really want to have more storage because I really love playing video games but I can't download anymore games because of the fact that my storage has been reduced to less than half of what it used to have.please help me resolve

We follow the thread for us to better understand the situation. It seems that there something wrong detecting your second HDD. We want to know why you would want a second hard drive in your laptop? Was it to increase internal storage?. If you are trying
to install second internal drive for backup, we advised not to. the same power surge, malware, fire, or burglar that might deprive you of everything on your main hard drive will likely also rob you of your backup. We need to ask an additional questions for
us to better assist you. Please provided the following information:

• Have you tried connected the HDD on a different port (SATA port)?
• Have you tried different HDD data cables?
• You've mention HDD appear when plugging in USB port? Can you try saving a test file into it?

Do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• What is the complete error message/ error code while trying to access the hard drive?
  

Step 1: As a workaround, I suggest you to do the following to detect the issue:

• Connect the hard drive to different port and check if the issue persists.
• Connect different hard drive to the same port and check.
• Connect different hard drives to different ports and check.

Step 2: If the device is not detected on your computer try to run
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
  Troubleshooter

Step 3: I suggest you to check if there are any drivers with yellow exclamatory mark in the Device Manager.

• Press Windows + X from the keyboard, click on
  Device Manager.
• Right click on the detected driver, click on Properties
  and check the device status.

My Seagate external hard drive is not detected when plugged in to USB port of my laptop using windows 10?

Thanks for your response.

I have tried all the steps provided, however in vain. The external hard drive is not identified at all in any of the the USB ports when connected. The USB ports identify other external Flash drives and devices. However this drive is detected in another laptop
using Windows 7 OS. Please advise further.
