Windows 10: My system is not restarting...

Discus and support My system is not restarting... in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I bought new laptop today and configured users of my kids.. after that windows update happened and downloaded all updates... then I tried to restart...     My system is not restarting...


    I bought new laptop today and configured users of my kids.. after that windows update happened and downloaded all updates...


    then I tried to restart the laptop then Screen is showing "Getting Windows ready... Don't turn off your computer". Its continuously displaying this message for last 1 hour.


    I am scared as this is new laptop I bought today only. Please help.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    System restarts on its own

    It all began when I changed my CPU cooling. The system runs fine when I play games, pass 3DMark Vantage with no problem, but when I try to play MP4 files with Media Player Classic it restarts after few minutes. Few times it restarts while idle. I reinstall the Vista but it did not help. The CPU is not overheating (actually is 10 degrees cooler now). Any suggestions?

    Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
