Windows 10: My wallpapers revert back to "Center" every time I change it.

Hi!

I have a laptop and every time I change my wallpaper, it reverts back to "Center" Option in Personalize menu. My laptop's screen resolution is 3840*2160, but regardless of the dimension of the wallpaper, if I put a wallpaper of 10000*5625 (which is a 16*9 ratio indeed), it returns back to a small pic in the middle of the screen as I restart. This time if I change the setting to "Fill" or "Fit", It's OK till the next change of wallpaper.

What is the problem?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to restart the computer and check if you are able to successfully change the lock screen wallpaper.

  From Desktop, right click and select
  Personalize.
  
• 
  In Personalization window, click on
  Lock Screen in the left pane.
  
• 
  And choose wallpaper you would like to apply for the lock screen by choosing the browse option.

  Close the Personalization window.

File explorer always reverts to top of window when wallpaper changes


Hi all,

This issue occurs when "Automatically select highlight color from my wallpaper" checkbox is ticked.
When I open Windows Explorer and display a long list of folders and/or files, going down through them, each time the wallpaper changes Windows Explorer reverts to the top of the list even if an element is selected lower in the list.

From update to update this issue never has been fixed. However, I read some time ago this issue was known by MS.

Do other users experience such an issue? Is there a way to fix it anyway (e.g. using registry) ?

sync / wallpaper change

Your current system may have downloaded an update that caused your wallpaper to revert to the previous one.

Regarding your files, they will not automatically sync if you haven't set your account with OneDrive on your computer.

We suggest that you change your wallpaper, then restart your computer. This will help us to further identify if there's an issue with your system.
