Windows 10: My Webcam only works in OBS.

I just got a Lifecam 3000 hd and it works fine with OBS, the resolution is very small though. not hd at allWhen using discord or websites where i can select the camera it just shows up as black.It works when i use it via OBS in Discord but its annoying to always activate the camera in a second app.Yesterday I had to restart my PC because it suddenly didn't even show up in OBS.I tried updating the driver- its up to date, Microsoft doesn't provide the old drivers anymore so i couldn't try an old one. I also tried every troubleshooting trick on Youtube.*by every i mean every video that was desc

Since you mentioned that you already reinstalled the driver for your webcam, we suggest that you perform these troubleshooting steps to resolve your concern:

• Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps.
• Install the driver using the compatibility mode.

My webcam doesnt work on apps (like discord chrome, and messenger app) but works on the camera app and obs studio

It generally means that there is a virtual webcam device and you have to find that virtual device and point your app to it.

Certain logitech webcam drivers/apps (like logitech capture) act as virtual webcam device and you have to point your app to the logitech capture as the webcam.

If you look at a bunch of youtube tutorials on something like how to use obs --- some youtubers would point the obs software to the actual logitech webcam, other youtubers would point the obs software to logitech capture.
