Windows 10: My wifi driver is broken and I can’t use wifi

So I was updating Ubuntu until I notice wifi wasn’t working so I went back to windows 11 and it had the same issue and if I click on where the wifi and Bluetooth are, it’s on airplane mode and I can’t disable it, I tried to disable it with my keyboard but it didn’t work so I’m now stuck with no wifi for my computer, and if I check on device management, there’s a ! With a yellow border around it, can anyone help me?

Wifi names

I was wondering can you put anything as a wifi name for example I wanted to put CIA-outpost-#### random number is that illegal? I've seen FBI surveillance van 006 before on my list of wifi names I can pick up.

 

At my wits end with WiFi

I did the sme, with the WAP, i disabled DHCP, and assigned a static IP (192.168.1.2), the adsl router already has a static ip set. i followed th guide here: Wireless access point - DD-WRT Wiki to a T, both with and without the reccommended/optional steps.

Still no joy, and i still can't get my desktop to see the wifi router, wth default settings and a direct connection. My laptop views the wifi router fine, with default settings.

Ok i figured i missed a step when changing to the DD-WRT firmware. I didn;t upgrade to the latest version. i'm doing that now, and i'll try to set it up again.

Is there anything better than this which has maximum Wifi range? For example can it play movie from 30 meter distance ? From other room ?
