Windows 10: My wifi has recently (about a month) been acting weird e.g very bad conectivaty not like...

So about a month ago I started seeing issues in my Wi-Fi as programs like YouTube and games would be having trouble running at the speed as they usually do. I thought these were just some temporary lags however as the time moved on it got worse and worse. I checked for updates for hacking or viruses, nothing is wrong and all updates are good. for the last week its the most bad. E.g. a game I play 'Tanki Online' doesn't even load up, YouTube lags out every minute but my connection is fairly similar to as it used to be 40 mbps download and 19 upload. I really need help because it now sometimes even disconnects.

Asus R510LN Ethernet/Wireless acting weird


Every browser is at stock settings. Its like as soon as my laptop is on more than 6 hours it acts weird that dns dont work but then skype and etc still works.. Thats weird. Both wifi and ethernet other devices still have internet access. Even reboot wont solve it.

 

Laptop weird 2 months after Windows 10 installation?

Sorry my thread title is quite bad, but my problem can only be described as "weird". For some reason, my laptop has turned crazy recently, the following basically:

• I can't access the features from start menu (so can't launch apps, and can't turn off laptop normally.
• Half of the icons on my toolbar are missing.
• Using search function only searches the web (i.e. can't search for documents and stuff like control panel :/).
• Can't open some apps (e.g. any Microsoft Office apps, like PowerPoint- which is really inconvenient).

The list goes on and on, I have been using Windows 10 for around 2 months now, so I really have no clue as to why this problem occurred or how to fix it.

Asus R510LN Ethernet/Wireless acting weird


Okay, it sounds like your adapter settings may need to be checked. Follow these steps:

Right click on your network icon down in the bottom corner, select Open Network and Sharing Center

Click on Change Adapter Settings on the left side





Find your wireless adapter. Yours may be called something different than mine. Right click on it, and click properties





Select Internet Protocol Version 4 and click properties





Make sure your settings look like this, meaning both fields are set to obtain an address automatically.




Click OK, then close and see if this helps.
