  1. My Windows 10 completely broke

My laptop was working just fine. When it suddenly crashed and popped the KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bluescreen error.

For an hour after the crash everything was fine, but then it crashed again this time with the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

From now on after the second crash, my laptop would boot to Windows Boot Manager with the error message saying that "The digital signature of this file couldn't be verified". I thought that reinstalling the system would help.

I tried putting in a bootable pendrive with Windows 10, but it won't just boot, even with secure boot disabled, and all that stuff.

The pendrive I'm using is working for sure, because it would boot on other computers. Tried booting my pendrive through the boot menu on the F12 key and it still would boot the Windows Boot Manager with the error message that I mentioned earlier. Tried to reset my system to factory defaults using Acer's ALT+F10, but to no results. I'm running out of ideas about what I should do.

    Can you help me out?

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond My Windows 10 completely broke :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
