My Windows 10 computer has started refusing my known passwords.

I have been able to sign in to my home built Windows 10 computer by clicking on the photo of myself and my last name under the phot. But two days ago the computer tells me the password in incorrect. I have my password written down so I know it is correct. It show me the password hint "sharp" and I have put in the password I use for that hint, and it still tells me the password is incorrect. After three tries it gives me an option to "Reset Password" and when I click that I get: Welcome to the Password Reset Wizard" and it says to use this wizard you must have created a password recovery disc and I have never done that. Can you help me get into my computer?? Thanks.

    :)

Computer refuses signon with unknown password

Our computer has mysteriously acquired an unknown password and refuses any signon. We have purposely omitted any signon password (hit return at prompt) because our computers are secure. So the spontaneous injection of a password is problematical. We have tried most recently internally used passwords for applications (starting with the most recent) but nothing works. Short of calling Microsoft does anyone have a suggestion?

We have not originated an account with MS or created any hierarchy of accounts. One user and one signon in an isolated environment.

Enable my Admin on Windows 10 but it requires a password that is not known

I upgraded to Windows 10 and everything was working okay for a couple days and then my Admin login option disappeared from the start menu.

I was trying to enable my Admin and as I was following the directions I hit a roadblock. Does anyone have an answer for me?

To enable the Windows 10 administrator account do the following:

    • Tap on the Windows-key. This should open the start menu or bring you to the Start Screen interface depending on how Windows 10 is configured on the system.
    • Type cmd and wait for the results to be displayed.
    • Right-click no the Command Prompt result and select "run as administrator" from the context menu.
(This is where the roadblock is. This step is requiring a password and I have no idea what it is?)

I tried using my Admin Password (And several others) and that did not work.

    Help!
