Windows 10: My windows 10 has an activation expiration date, what to do?

Select cancel reservation if do not want it, believe on Eight-Forums and probably Seven Forums there is ways to get rid of icon and files for this as was put back from downloaded windows updates again. Have to look myself for link unless you are registered there too.

Well I don't not want to be able to get the upgrade again...I definitely want it. I wanna know how to just upgrade through that get win 10 thing, and have it activate succesfully.

 

Do you or don't you want upgrade ? I know frustrated you because of the activation issues, should of tried other alternatives here before the rollback. Wonder if have any issues second time around, knowing might be a 30 days rule on rollback too.

 

I want the upgrade. I just want the peace of mind though of knowing that Windows is permanently activated just like my windows 7 is. So like how do I make it so that I can upgrade through the upgrade thing, and like when I do, will MS like actually activate it, or what?

 

Just thought i might of heard here about having 30 days to go back to old OS, although if done on 29th of July might be o.k..
Just not sure what would be your best way to do it, through the files that will eventually download to your PC or media creation tool. With me my files downloaded, then told me it was ready and i rescheduled and made a disc first through the downloaded files, as it is good to have a disc for clean install afterwards and even repair disc. Some have difficulties with the Media Creation tools way.

The upgrade thing is irrelevant, upgrade with Media Creator tool or an ISO of a compatible version you have installed.
It's not as complicated as you may think.

 

But will it be activated this time around? Will the 2nd time I use it be the charm? That's what I want to know. That is the tool that I used from the beginning to upgrade from Windows 7.

What I did the first time was I just ran the tool, I didn't burn any media to a disc or whatever, I just let it do it's thing.

 

It's best to download the particular edition as an iso... if you have Basic/Premium etc download Home, else download Pro - use Rufus to create the USB and upgrade first from that within Win7 (I just had SP1 installed). Don't use Daemon tools etc to mount the iso.

 

So then I would just download the ISO file for Windows 10 Home in my case, mount it, and then run the setup? I also have Windows 7 SP1

Hm ok, I'll use the Media Creation tool again and mount it and then run setup. I'll post again later if it works out.

 

And if you get asked to enter a product key, you know something is not going right and to cancel it.
A proper upgrade should not ask for a product key.
