Windows 10: My Windows Format is Completely Changed

My Windows Version is 1903, Build 18362.535. I just updated Chrome this morning and when the screen came back up it looked like the screen shot I will attempt to attach if I can do it. Everything is rearranged-nothing looks like it use to. I don't even know how to explain what happened except to say the beginning Windows Start screen is not the same and now all the apps are just randomly scattered on my screen. I can't get my apps to pin down onto the bottom of my screen anymore. The only way I can access anything is by searching for them or by going to a list of apps. This is not how my computer was organized when I woke up this morning. Is there a way to get it back to the way it used to be? Does anyone know why this happened? Thanks.

Changing Time Format

There's a possibility that the set up time format in your computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is military time. To have this checked, you can try to reset the time of your computer through Control Panel. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Open Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region >
  Change date, time, or number formats. This would open the
  Region window.
• From there, click on Additional settings at the bottom part. It will open the Customize Format.
• Click Reset; then, OK.

The steps should work; however, if not, we suggest that you contact manufacturer and have the BIOS time checked.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

How To Format A Write Protected Flash Memory ?

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.
