Windows 10: My windows is completely destroyed

I booted my PC and it seems to be completely fucked.

• I can not open the start menu, when I press it nothing happens.
• I can not check my disk because I get this in response:

C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /r /f NTFSNTFSNTFSNTFS

• I can open programs, I can open the file explorer but it shows me this: https://imgur.com/a/SeEZ3jD
• I can't run sfc /scannow because it always stops at 6% giving me this in return:

C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow Beginning system scan. This process will take some time. Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 6% complete. Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

• I tried running both commands in safe mode which resulted in the same, plus, when I booted into safe mode the first thing that came on my lock screen was this:

• I tried running the windows10 in place upgrade thing to repair everything without losing my programs and files but it gave me this: https://imgur.com/a/nC4UdSa

Does ANYONE know how I can repair this without having to reinstall windows completely?

And for backstory, prior to this, I have done literally fuck all. I have 0 shady programs, 0 shady drivers, I don't fuck around with my windows, I don't have any mr hackerman stuff, I literally just play videogames on my desktop.

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
