    I bought a new laptop and my windows was registered in it. After some weeks, I forgot my password and now i need to reset my Laptop to reset the password. My Windows is registered Will it remain registered after resetting my laptop ?

    No registered device!

    Steps to do



    • On your phone, go to SETTINGS
    • Here, go to ABOUT - RESET
    • When the comes back up, use your windows phone account that you use on windowsphone.com website. Your phone will be re-registered.

    Do you register your hardware?

    It depends on the part. I would like to register my 4870's, but Sapphire isn't on the damn list for the maker, which is f'n annoying. I registered my PSU and mobo though. It helped move my RMA faster with my last set.

    I'd prefer to do the steps manually rather than download and run the batch file. I can delete the files in the 2 folders just fine. The reset/re-register command does not run -- I see an error message of:

    '$manifest' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
