Windows 10: My windows "System" data usage is very high 153GB in the last 5 days.

I don't know why but my windows 10 system data usage is sky high at the moment. It has used over 150GB of data in the last 5 days. Not a problem if you have unlimited data but I don't. How can I monitor what it's using this data for?

We appreciate the additional information. Windows update is one of the possible cause why the system data usage is high. If you prefer to disable automatic updates to avoid high data usage, follow the steps below:

• Type gpedit.msc in the search bar, then press Enter
  to open Local Group Policy Editor.
  
• Browse the following path:
  
  • Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update
    
• Locate Configure Automatic Updates, then double-click it.
  
• Check the Enabled option to enable the policy.
  
• Under Options, change it to option 2 (Notify for download and notify for install).
  
• Click Apply, then OK.

High System Data Usage with Explorer

Hello All

Think Comcast data usage meter is acting up really, Probably last 30 days of explorer use for OneDrive, why shows so much, so probably a non issue that I didn't even need to make a thread on lol.

 

HIGH DATA USAGE

From past few days, my windows is using high data.

I don't know why. I just reset my data usage today to check why this is happening and I find out that my system data is the highest.

Please help me.
